Snow Paintings

I been in the mood ( I wonder why) to do winter scenes.  I did this train painting.  I want to correct the track and soften the values on the train.  I'll take another photo when I'm done.  Hope everyone is having a great day and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Sunset painting and Skiers Painting

Yesterday we had a holiday party at my oil class at the National Art League.  Lots of very good food and wine.  I did finish my sunset painting and worked on my skiers.  I hope to list them on ebay after the holidays.

Montauk Daisies 2

Well, I'm home with the painters today.  So I painted for awhile on this painting.  I don't know if it is finished.  I think I'll live with it and see.  Time to start something new or finish up another piece.

Painting of Montauk Daisies

It snowed a lot in NYC last night. So it is the perfect day to do some painting.   I really want to get some painting done.  I just am having a really hard time getting started.  I do everything else in the house.  Why is that? I talk to fellow artists and this happens to them too.

I took a photo of my painting in progress and I"ll keep you posted on how I do.  I know I have to bring out more of the petals and erase the pencil lines.  We'll see what happens.

NYC Subway

I haven't been on the subway in a long time. I was taking the LI railroad. Wow, was I shocked. I took the E train from Forest Hills, the train was immaculate, floor to ceiling. The best part was you could understand the names of the stations instead of the static. I loved the new LCD display telling you what is the next stop and also a different display showing you all the stops the train was making.
Of course, that day the E was running on the F tracks, so I really couldn't take the train exactly where I was going.
I took the F train home. It felt like home, still relatively clean but NO announcments at all and no LCD displays. Well I hope the next time I take a subway most of the train will be modernized.
