Last week I went to Philadelphia, to the flower show and the Philadelphia Fine Arts museum. I had never been to that museum, The building was incredible very ornate with tile, brass and hard to believe concrete decorations. I had the pleasure to see about 60 paintings by a female artist called Cecilla Beaux. She was a portrait and figurative painter. I loved her work and I put her in the same category as Mary Cassett. Ms Beaux won many awards in her life and was considered one of the best female painters ever. I am including a image of a painting that I saw at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
